Chad Michael Murray (born August 24, 1981 in Buffalo, New York) is an American actor, former male fashion model and teen idol.
Murray was born in Buffalo, New York; he has four brothers (Rex, Nick, Brandon, and half brother Tyler) and a sister, Shannon. He attended Clarence High School in his hometown of Clarence, NY. His father works as an air traffic controller and his mother left the family when he was 10 years old and returned when he was 18. Murray's first job was at the age of ten as a newspaper delivery boy; he also worked at a doughnut shop. Murray describes himself as a loner and a "nerd" in high school. He had part of his small intestine removed as the result of a football injury, so he cannot gain weight.
